| Personal Biography | I am an editor and indexer who specializes in academic and non-fiction documents. With 30 years of experience evaluating academic papers I have developed a keen eye for spotting spelling and grammar errors. I can simplify your text to clarify meaning. I have over 30 years’ experience teaching linguistics and English grammar at UVic. The focus of my research has been the history and development of Canadian English, but I have also studied the history and characteristics of American English, British English and other World Englishes. My editing and indexing focus is academic writing in the humanities, social sciences, human and social development, education, and music, but I have diverse interests, so I am able to edit and index manuscripts on a wide variety of topics. I am also a member of Editors Canada and the Indexing Society of Canada. My company is Creative Solutions Editing and Writing Limited where I work as an editor, indexer, writer, and consultant.
