Top shelf English; delighted to help.
My editing qualifications include: BA (English, French, German, Fine Art History and Anthropology; University of Auckland); ATCL (Trinity College London, in Speech & Drama); Dip. Ed. (Secondary Teachers College, Auckland); MEDes (town planning; University of Calgary)
I was teaching ESL for inlingua in Singapore when Heinemann’s invited me to edit freelance for them. Over three years I edited a wide range of novels, books of letters and short stories, some in Singlish (Singapore English).
I exported my teaching and editing skills to England and then to Canada, where I became a full-time freelancer in 1999.
I use academic style guides because I’ve done a lot of academic editing at all levels. That continues but I’ve edited 264 novels for Friesen Press and am working with Tellwell. I edit memoirs, prepare books for self-publication and write my own books. Enjoy editing children’s books.
