Personal Biography

I was born in England in 1951 and came to Canada when I was seven. My family had a small farm in BC’s Fraser Valley. In 1988, I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BA in psychology. Later, I studied copywriting, speechwriting and was certified as a TESL instructor. I’ve taught ESL students from Brazil, Uganda, India, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and Mexico. I’ve always loved reading and writing and was delighted to write questions for a textbook for Chinese students called The Eclectic Reader.  Recently I edited a book about Lake O’Hara for a Chinese author called Paul Lee. Today I live in Victoria, BC, close to lots of hiking trails, deer and ducks.
